Janine Gianfredi was Chief Marketing Officer at the USDS. She joined on the heels of a 10-year tenure at Google, where she held marketing, sales, and creative positions.  

Janine Gianfredi had “marketing” in her title when she joined the USDS, but quickly learned the role encompassed a lot more. She also had a hand in communications and — perhaps most importantly — co-authoring the organization’s values.

Janine placed a high importance on respect within the team, and also the sustainability and longevity of the organization across administrations. Below, Janine speaks about her experience.
